Free Strawbale and Adobe Work Party!

• April 17-18, from 9am - 4pm each day Near I-19 and Valencia area, in Tucson
• Come learn how to build with bales and make adobe bricks at a thriving farmstead just outside of Tucson. We'll be helping our hosts build a lovely home for their growing family by stacking and splitting bales, pinning and stitching our way to a super-insulated, healthy, and eco-friendly house. We'll also be making adobe bricks for an interior accent wall. Natural builders Joe Silins and Ray Clamons will be your tourguides for the weekend, and our gracious hosts will be providing food and beverages to keep everyone going.  Due to the ongoing pandemic we will be practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and observing other public safety measures. Attendance will be limited to 12 participants each day.  Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary needs you have.Volunteers should bring a mask/face covering, a re-fillable water bottle, close-toed shoes, long sleeves (straw is scratchy!), and sun protection (sunblock,sunhat, etc).
